Edward “Eddie” Yerage is a retired US Military member of 20 years.  He served in the Marines as an enlisted member (law enforcement sniper) for eight years and an Air Force (logistics) officer for 12 years, retiring at the rank of Major.  He has served worldwide in many leadership capacities in both peacetime and wartime situations.  His last tour in the Air Force allotted him an opportunity to coach collegiate ice hockey, serving as Assistant Coach for The Citadel and Team USA Military (an all-star team comprised of players from all Senior Military Colleges and Service Academies across the United States to compete overseas in professional hockey tournaments).  Upon his retirement from the military, he served as Head Coach of the US Naval Academy’s Men’s Ice Hockey “B” team and Assistant Coach for the US Naval Academy’s Men’s Ice Hockey “A” team for one season.  He then moved to Germany for three years to accompany his active-duty military wife, where he worked on his Ph.D. in Psychology with an emphasis on Sports Psychology.  He is due to graduate with his Doctorate in June 2024, writing a dissertation titled “Concussion Severity and Generalized Anxiety in Professional Ice Hockey Players.”
