In addition to the weekly live interactive Zoom video chats with hockey analytics experts OHL GM Mike Oke and NHL Scout Clair Cornish, students will receive textbooks handpicked by Mike & Clair.

Since 2013 Mike Oke has been the general manager of the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) after joining the team three years earlier as the manager of player personnel. Mike knows what teams need in regards to scouting and analytics on a day to day basis.
Prior to joining the Petes, Mike worked with the International Scouting Service (ISS) as Chief Scout where he was responsible for day-to-day operations and managing the scouting staffs responsible for developing scouting reports on players eligible for the NHL Draft, as well as the WHL, QMJHL, OHL, and CHL import drafts.
Mike also has a deep background in coaching having been an Assistant Coach in charge of video with Team Pacific at the 2008 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge, the Director of Player Personnel and Assistant Coach with the Oshawa Generals, an Assistant Coach at Wilfrid Laurier University of the Ontario University Athletic Association, and Head Coach/Manager with the Trenton Sting of the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League.
Oke has assisted hundreds of SMWW graduates acquiring jobs in professional and collegiate hockey all over the world.
Clair Cornish
Clair has been involved in hockey his entire life - as a player, coach, and scout.
As a player, Clair was a member of the 1990 Memorial Cup Championship team the Oshawa Generals, playing alongside future Hall of Famer Eric Lindros. Other teammates included Rob Pearson, Brent Grieve, Mike Craig, Iain Fraser, Bill Armstrong, Dale Craigwell, and Jarrod Skalde who all went on to play in the National Hockey League.
After his playing career, Clair focused on coaching and player development, spending 5 years as Coach of the Port Perry Mojacks Junior Hockey Club, before moving to the coaching staff of the Central Ontario Wolves AAA U18 Hockey Club. For the past 3 seasons, Clair has been a member of the scouting staff of the Guelph Storm in the Ontario Hockey League.
With the recent explosion of Hockey Analytics, Clair has been become knowledgeable in the application of analytics in hockey, having collaborated on a number of analytical projects with others working at the NHL, AHL, and Junior levels of the game. Clair joins the SMWW Faculty and will provide students involved in the Hockey Analytics course first-hand knowledge of the various uses of Hockey Analytics in player and team evaluations.
